Responsibilities
Lead Solution Architecture
Define end-to-end solution designs for customer-facing and operational systems, balancing business priorities, technical constraints, and future scalability. Guide teams on integration patterns, data flows, and system boundaries without becoming embedded in delivery execution
Act as a Trusted Advisor
Work directly with senior stakeholders to challenge assumptions, surface risks, and recommend pragmatic architectural paths. Provide clear guidance on trade-offs, sequencing, and technology choices
Translate Strategy into Design
Produce high-level architectural artefacts—system diagrams, design principles, and technical blueprints—that enable delivery teams to move quickly with confidence
Enable Delivery Teams
Support product and engineering teams by clarifying requirements, refining technical approaches, and removing uncertainty during delivery cycles. Step in where complexity or ambiguity slows progress
Govern and Evolve Architecture
Define and maintain technology roadmaps that align near-term delivery with long-term platform direction. Identify opportunities to simplify, modernise, or rationalise systems over time
Mentor and Influence
Provide architectural guidance and coaching to engineers and technical leads, raising the overall quality of design and decision-making across teams
Qualification
Required
Deep experience designing and advising on enterprise application architectures
Strong background with CRM and customer engagement platforms, including complex customisation and integration
Hands-on understanding of modern integration patterns, event-driven systems, and distributed architectures
Comfortable operating in agile, multi-team environments where priorities evolve
Excellent communicator, able to explain complex technical decisions in plain language to non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to operate independently, make decisions with incomplete information, and influence without authority
10+ years delivering complex business applications in enterprise environments
Experience working in advisory, consulting, or architecture-focused roles
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
