They are seeking an Associate Attorney with practical experience in commercial litigation, who will be responsible for drafting legal documents, conducting research, and making court appearances, among other duties.

Responsibilities
Drafting/reviewing litigation documents including pleadings, motion papers and briefs, discovery demands/responses, correspondence with adversaries and the courts
Conducting legal research
Communications (written and verbal) with the courts, adversaries and others
Making court appearances for conferences and motions (virtual and in-person)
Taking/defending depositions
Negotiating settlements
Serving as a resource to the firm's paralegals by reviewing drafts and answering questions
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the New York State bar
Proven experience in commercial litigation
Strong legal drafting skills with the ability to write clear and persuasive documents
Have the desire and qualities of a leader
Excellent research skills with proficiency in using legal research databases like LexisNexis
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Preferred
