Responsibilities
Participates in accounting projects
Keeps current on available technology, and how technology can enhance our environment
Documents impact of projects on the company’s control environment
With the implementation of projects, will assist in updating and deploying of accounting reports and reconciliations
Suggests new accounting procedures and recommends improvements
Applies applicable accounting and reporting rules, and statutory regulations
Contemplates and recommends financial transactions in accordance with SSAP and GAAP as they relate to projects being worked on
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Familiarity with laws and regulations that apply to accounting and compliance
Experience with spreadsheet software packages
Familiarity with automated or manual accounting systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to organize and manage projects
Bachelor's degree in accounting
1-3 years of financial accounting experience
