Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a CAT Modelling Analyst. Summary: We are looking for a resource with an actuarial background
They do not have to be an Actuary, but everyone on the team is
Previous experience working as a Geospacial Engineer can work in some cases
This role requires expertise in data manipulation using tools like SQL and Snowflake, they are migrating to Snowflake
Training will be solid - they have robust PowerPoints to show what they do and how they work
This consultant will be shadowing their Team Lead
They will work on a dynamic team (part of the claims optimization and innovation) with a concentration of risk, analytics, insurance risk and exposure
This role focus on CAT claims and are producing dashboards, analytics, around CAT models as they relate to weather and risk (ex: hurricanes, wildfires, floods, etc.)
Qualification
Required
Actuarial background
ArcGIS experience
Proficiency in geospatial analytics and dashboard creation, specifically for visualizing catastrophe (CAT) loss forecasting (catastrophic weather events like hurricanes, flooding, wildfires)
P&C experience, weather related analytics, weather related events experience
Must have data manipulation experience
Preferred
Previous experience working as a Geospatial Engineer
