Responsibilities
Process 20–25 checks weekly, with volume expected to grow
Manage vendor invoices, coding, posting, and approvals
Support real estate development and construction draw activity
Prepare reimbursement packages and track outstanding items
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries
Maintain a clean general ledger and audit-ready balance sheet
Manage accounting for 30+ operating properties
Review monthly operating reports
Support intercompany transactions
Collaborate with leadership and external partners as needed
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of accounting experience
Hands-on experience using QuickBooks
Month-end close experience
Experience supporting real estate development, affordable housing, or construction-related accounting
Experience with development draws, reimbursement packages, or lender reporting
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage transaction volume
Ability to work onsite full-time
Preferred
Nonprofit accounting experience
Experience in affordable housing or mission-driven organizations
Interest in supporting future system or process improvements as the organization grows
