The role involves designing and quoting structured cabling and network infrastructure projects while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure accurate project execution.

Responsibilities
Design and develop structured cabling and network infrastructure solutions for commercial and industrial environments
Prepare detailed project quotes and proposals for VARs, General Contractors, and direct clients
Collaborate with sales, project management, and engineering teams to ensure accurate scope and pricing
Interpret architectural drawings, floor plans, and specifications to develop infrastructure layouts
Conduct site surveys (virtually or in-person) to assess project requirements
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices (e.g., TIA/EIA, BICSI)
Support project handoff and implementation teams with design documentation and technical guidance
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in network infrastructure design and quoting
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents and network schematics
Strong understanding of structured cabling systems (copper, fiber), racks, pathways, and enclosures
Experience preparing quotes and proposals for VARs, GCs, and end-users
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Proficient with design and quoting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio, Excel, estimating software)
Preferred
RCDD is a strong plus
Experience with hybrid work environments and remote collaboration tools
Familiarity with local and national building codes and standards
Procore Construction Management software experience
