Assistant Director, Careers in Business
The University of Chicago is seeking an Assistant Director for Careers in Business to support students interested in business and finance careers. This role involves managing programs, advising students, and building relationships with employers to enhance professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities
Manage end‑to‑end programs, workshops, and career events that prepare students for competitive internships and full‑time roles
Serve as a proactive adviser to 1st–4th year students, offering targeted coaching grounded in industry insights
Build and expand relationships with employers, alumni, and partners across the public and private sectors
Lead outreach to source opportunities—from job shadowing and site visits to internships and full‑time roles and match students with opportunities through proactive student portfolio management
Coordinate communications, program logistics, and stakeholder engagement to deliver a seamless student experience
Track student progress and outcomes using Salesforce and leverage data to inform program strategy
Support career treks, Career Exploration Week, and other high‑impact experiential learning initiatives
Qualification
Required
