Investment Analyst (Buy-Side, Early Career Program)

They are seeking a highly motivated and analytically driven buy-side Investment Analyst to join their investment team, focusing on investment decision-making, capital deployment, and portfolio management.

Responsibilities
Update the deal pipeline in internal systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Support event preparation and outbound sourcing efforts by compiling target company lists, market maps, and key contacts
Assist with inbound deal screening by populating standardized screening templates and clearly highlighting merits, risks, gaps, and key attributes for review
Support the preparation and distribution of regular market and sector updates
Conduct market, competitive, and industry research, including ecosystem mapping and expert outreach coordination to support investment underwriting decisions
Compile research materials such as industry reports, competitor analyses, product reviews, and benchmarking data
Identify public and private comparable companies and collect performance data for analysis
Format company financials into BIP-standard models and support financial diligence (e.g., retention, cohort trends, unit economics)
Assist Associates with drafting and formatting Investment Committee memoranda and diligence materials
Support monthly and quarterly portfolio company reporting processes
Review portfolio company financials and KPIs and flag notable trends or variances (e.g., performance outliers, competitive activity)
Maintain cap table documentation and support quarterly valuation processes
Ensure deal terms, financial projections, and supporting materials are accurately entered into internal systems
Assist with fund reporting, documentation, and audit readiness
Support exit readiness by assisting with transaction comparable analyses for select portfolio companies
Assist with exit diligence processes, including checklist management, data room organization, and diligence call coordination
Ensure exit-related documentation is complete, accurate, and properly stored
Partner with the investment team to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains
Maintain high standards of documentation, organization, and data hygiene across all workflows
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
Internship or practical work experience in investment research, transaction diligence, consulting, finance, analytics, startups or related field
Exposure to financial modeling, research, or data analysis through academic or professional experience
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience working with large datasets and familiarity with financial modeling concepts is a plus
Ability to synthesize complex research into clear, decision-ready outputs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective time management and ability to balance multiple priorities
Intellectual curiosity about markets, business models, and emerging technologies
Coachable, collaborative, and eager to learn in a team-based environment
High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
