Responsibilities

Review PCB requirements and work with mechanical, firmware, optical, and manufacturing teams
Oversee PCB layout reviews, including stack‑up, component placement, high‑speed routing, and SI/PI considerations
Perform PCB bring‑up, debugging, and electrical characterization using scopes, VNAs, and related tools
Review SI/PI simulations and channel/PDN modeling for high‑speed (1.6Tbps+) architectures
Support NPI builds and high‑volume production, ensuring strong manufacturability, yield, and DFM compliance
Align PCB architecture with optical engine requirements for high‑speed optical modules
Define and review electrical interfaces for drivers, TIAs, DSPs/ASICs, lasers, and photodiodes
Collaborate on thermal, mechanical, and optical co‑design for module layouts and integration
Support integration of ROSAs, TOSAs, and coherent engines, including power delivery and high‑speed routing
Debug electrical‑optical issues and validate system‑level performance against IEEE/OIF/MSA standards
Work with optical component suppliers and cross‑functional teams to enable smooth prototype‑to‑production transition

Required

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Optoelectronics, Optics, or Applied Physics, with 7+ years of relevant industry experience
Strong understanding of industry standards governing optical modules (IEEE, QSFP-DD, OSFP, CMIS)
Proficiency with PCB design, simulation, and analysis tools
Hands-on experience with high-speed optical and electrical test equipment
Familiarity with optical alignment processes and manufacturing-floor equipment
Ability to analyze alignment data and interpret results to drive hardware decisions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams

Preferred

Experience in 800Gbps or 1.6Tbps optical transceiver module PCB development
Familiarity with different optical component manufacturing technologies and the industry landscape
Experience in leading and working in a cross-functional team
