Video Assistant - Studios and Meetings
NEOGOV is a part of the City of Coon Rapids, which is dedicated to providing outstanding leadership and services to strengthen the community. The Video Assistant will assist in the City's video productions, operating equipment during live meetings and studio productions, while maintaining professional relationships with staff and the public.

Responsibilities
Operates television camera, audio board, lighting, and graphics system during studio and remote productions
Direct monthly City meetings (using a vMix switcher) for the Planning Commission, which occur on the third Thursday of the month
Serve as a backup meeting director for the Coon Rapids City Council meetings, which occur on the first and third Tuesdays of the month
Ability to correctly set up and tear down equipment and cables for remote and studio productions
Ability to upload and edit video (experience with DaVinci Resolve editing system preferred)
Maintains positive professional working relationships with all staff levels, other jurisdictions and outside agencies, and the general public
Performs essential position duties and responsibilities under the working conditions and physical demands described herein
Reliable attendance during regularly scheduled work hours and outside regular hours as necessary
Effective and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and citizen customers
Performs other related functions as apparent or delegated
Qualification
Required
An Associate's degree in Communications or a Technical Degree in Television Production or related field, and a minimum of one year of paid work experience
Three years' paid work experience
Thorough knowledge in operating a television camera, audio board and graphics system
Ability to troubleshoot video and network signal flow and basic equipment issues
Flexibility in working evenings and occasional weekend hours
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks, to work effectively under pressure, and to complete work in a timely and accurate manner with minimal supervision
Handles confidential information appropriately
Ability to work cooperatively with City personnel, external vendors, and the public
Ability to perform duties with tact, diplomacy, and discretion
Ability to maintain a team and service-oriented approach to work
Must have the ability to accept constructive criticism or discipline in a positive manner, initiating self-development to improve job performance
Must strive to promote a cooperative atmosphere in the department and exhibit a positive attitude
Must possess a valid driver's license
Preferred
Experience with DaVinci Resolve editing system
