Mergers & Acquisitions / Private Equity Associate Attorney
Direct Counsel is seeking an M&A/Private Equity Associate Attorney to join a national law firm in New York. The role involves representing private equity funds and institutional investors in various corporate matters, including leveraged buyouts and strategic joint ventures.

Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate complex M&A and private equity transaction documents and related investment agreements
Serve as a key member of deal teams, producing acquisition, equity, and related documents in a client-ready format
Manage key aspects of transactions from due diligence through closing, across a range of deal sizes (preferably middle market)
Collaborate closely with partners, clients, and internal teams to execute transactions efficiently
Qualification
Required
2–6 years of experience in M&A and private equity transactions
JD from an accredited law school and active membership in the New York bar
Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a collaborative environment
