Required

Experience with digital acquisition and transmission of images preferred
Experience in or desire to learn general x-ray technician duties preferable
Demonstrated knowledge of imaging practices
Ability to evaluate, synthesize and communicate diagnostic information to the attending physician
Ability to communicate effectively with the patient and the health care team, recognizing the special nature of sonographic examinations and patient's needs
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and health care team
Ability to follow established departmental procedures
Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations
Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology
Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate
Current BLS certification
Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school and ability to meet requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) preferred
Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time
May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs
US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required
Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred
Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project
Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate

Preferred

Experience with digital acquisition and transmission of images preferred

Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) preferred
Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school and ability to meet requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) preferred
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred
