Program & Policy Analyst - Project Position

The State of Wisconsin's Department of Safety and Professional Services is seeking a Program and Policy Analyst to join the Division of Professional Credentialing Processing. This role focuses on improving policies, programs, and operations through analysis, development, and implementation of procedural improvements.

Responsibilities

Analyzes programs and processes
Develops and implements policies and procedural improvements
Leads special projects that support efficient, effective, and compliant operations
Prepares reports, data analysis, and briefing materials for division leadership and the Office of the Secretary
Supports strategic planning, budgeting efforts, and monitors program performance to identify opportunities for improvement
Serves for the division lead for training, including onboarding, division wide training initiatives, and leadership development

Required

Experience with computer programs, including Microsoft Product Suite and databases (ex: Salesforce, Oracle)
Experience developing reports and/or informational materials used to analyze policies and procedures and recommend courses of action
Experience or training developing, implementing, and interpreting policies or procedures
Experience researching, analyzing, or summarizing laws, rules, and/or regulations
Experience with program or project coordination (e.g. organizing and leading workgroups, development and implement programs, develop timetables and monitor program for progress, etc.)

Preferred

Experience developing guidance materials to aid others in the understanding of processes and procedures
Experience developing processes improvement methods
Experience collecting and analyzing data to support planning efforts, such as the use of surveys, focus groups, forecasting, projections, and/or impact analysis
