VICP/CICP Medical Expert Witness (MD/DO)
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is a leading nationwide recruitment agency dedicated to connecting healthcare professionals with top-tier opportunities. They are seeking a Medical Expert Witness to provide independent expert review, written opinions, and testimony in vaccine and countermeasure injury cases for the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) and Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP).

Responsibilities
Review complete case files, including petitions, medical records, affidavits, depositions, and exhibits
Identify key medical issues, analyze petitioner's theory of causation, and assess scientific validity and medical reasonableness
Prepare draft and final expert reports with clearly stated opinions on causation, standard of care, merit, liability, and damages, including supporting literature
Respond to interrogatories and questions from DOJ and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, with cited references
Provide testimony (in-person, teleconference, or video) and participate in pre-hearing preparation with DOJ
Advise VICP/CICP on vaccines, countermeasures, adverse events, and vaccine safety questions as requested
Protect PHI/PII, comply with Privacy Act and federal records requirements, and securely return/shred/destroy records within 30 days of case closure
Qualification
Required
MD or DO from an accredited U.S. (or equivalent foreign) medical school
Current, active, full, unrestricted license as a physician in a U.S. state/territory/DC/PR (if seeing patients)
Board-certified in a relevant specialty/subspecialty (e.g., Allergy, Immunology, Neurology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Rheumatology, etc.)
Current clinical practice or left clinical practice within the last 5 years; or current research activity or left research within the last 5 years
Current academic appointment at a U.S. MD or DO-granting medical school and active affiliation with a U.S. academic medical center
Demonstrated subject-matter expertise supported by peer-reviewed publications, research, and/or academic teaching
Ability to pass a National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) query with no disqualifying adverse actions
U.S. residency sufficient to complete federal background investigation (generally 3 of past 5 years for non-U.S. citizens)
Preferred
Prior expert witness work or medico-legal case review experience
Experience with vaccine-related, neurological, immunologic, or autoimmune conditions
