Payroll Manager
LHH is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee our client's full‑cycle payroll operations for a growing organization in Pasadena. The role requires strong technical skills and deep payroll knowledge to manage high‑volume, multi‑state payroll in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities
Manage full‑cycle payroll processing for weekly, biweekly, and semimonthly payrolls
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll submission across multiple states
Maintain payroll records, audit employee data, and manage updates to compensation, deductions, and tax withholding
Oversee off‑cycle payroll runs, adjustments, and corrections
Generate payroll reports for accounting, HR, and leadership teams
Collaborate with HR on onboarding, terminations, and employee file updates
Respond to payroll inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and support employees with payroll‑related issues
Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure adherence to wage and hour laws
Partner with Finance on reconciliations, year‑end reporting, and audits
Qualification
Required
6+ years of payroll experience, including multi‑state payroll
Strong proficiency in ADP (Workforce Now or other ADP modules required)
Advanced understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance
Experience collaborating closely with HR and Finance teams
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage sensitive information
Ability to work onsite in Pasadena
