Resident Camp Videographer- YMCA Camp Cullen
YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Resident Camp Videographer to capture highlights of camp throughout the week. The role involves creating weekly videos to document camp activities, ensuring quality footage, and providing a positive experience focused on youth development.

Responsibilities
Will organize and plan efficient strategy to maximize the amount of footage taken every week, Sunday-Friday
Will maintain quality of footage
Will work with other members of the media team and administrative staff team to ensure there is always someone filming staff and campers
Throughout the week, in between capturing footage, this individual will produce and edit a session video using the footage captured through the week
This video must be the duration of two songs
Music used in this video must be family appropriate and avoid provocative language, drug/alcohol references, sexual innuendos, and political references
Video will have a happy, nostalgic theme
Will sleep in cabins with campers, when needed
When co counselors on time off, this position will step in to help supervise children if needed

Qualification
Required
Ability to read, interpret, retain, and teach documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure/educational manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of children, parents, staff, members of the YMCA, and/or others, as well as in one-on-one situations
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense, understanding, and sound mature judgment to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, including assisting with curriculum learning
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to be sensitive and alert to the needs, feelings, and safety of others
Ability to ensure children's safety and maintain YMCA, ACA and state standards and guidelines at all times
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
Current record of tuberculosis examination and/or current local health department regulations, examinations, and/or immunization as required by the local or State Department of Health
The Videographer is required to live on the camp property during the season
Preferred
Prefer 1 year of filming and editing experience
CPR, First aid and O2 certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date
Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations
