Responsibilities

Analyze alcoholic beverages, grapes, grape products, water, incoming materials, and other samples that keep our operations safe, consistent, and innovative
Perform a range of analyses using distillation, titrimetric, colorimetric and instrumental methods
Operating tools like auto-titrators, refractometers, densitometers, GC, IR analyzers, and spectrophotometers
Support microbiological tasks including sampling, bottling-line monitoring, media prep, and sterilization
Prepare standard solutions, calibrate instruments, and complete preventative maintenance to ensure reliable results
Accurate recordkeeping in LIMS, timely data reporting, and thoughtful evaluation of QC data
Identify deviations, follow response plans, and collaborate on troubleshooting and corrective actions
Contribute ideas to improve lab practices, support method development, and maintain a clean, safe workspace consistent with our ISO 17025-aligned quality management system

Required

Bachelor's degree with a combined 20 college coursework units of chemistry, biology, and/or microbiology; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years or 4 seasons of paid laboratory experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibilities; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 20 college coursework units of chemistry, biology, and/or microbiology plus 2 years of chemistry/microbiology laboratory experience
Skilled in writing simple correspondence
Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers
Required to maintain 3 shift availability (day, swing, and graveyard); required to work overtime when necessary; required to work weekends when necessary
Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation
Required to be 18 years or older
