Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator (Part-Time)

Responsibilities

Schedule and/or call subjects for screenings and appointments; contact participants with reminders or other requirements
Assist the main study Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs) with determining participant eligibility and obtaining informed consent from study participants in accordance with study protocol
Assist in the recruitment of study participants
Assist with the collection of study data and the conduction of experimental tasks, including qualitative discharge interviews
Process study compensation payments to subjects upon completion of study activities
Assist in the management of research project databases, development of flow sheets and other study-related documents, and ensure the accurate completion of study documents/case report forms
Assist in the use of patient tracking tools and study documents. Must be willing to follow strict study procedures and understand Stanford clinical trial study requirements/regulations to accurately handle/process informed consents, study questionnaires, and screening tools
Ensure the highest level of compliance with outlined research protocols
Responsible for reporting protocol deviations to the main study CRCs for prompt IRB reporting; notify PI of any issues regarding privacy for further action
Assemble study kits, sticker and send postcards/letters, and process returned study devices
Communicate study progress to team members effectively
Constantly ensure patient safety and adherence to proper study conduct
Assist in developing and providing status reports to the PI and study team
Monitor participants for any adverse events related to participant health status and report to PI; assist in the creation of reports related to recruitment, and those required by IRB or funding source
Ensure essential documentation and recording of patient and research data in appropriate files per institutional and regulatory requirements. Assist in any monitor visits and regulatory audits as needed
Perform clerical duties in the preparation of regulatory documents

Two-year college degree and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
