BBYO is focused on engaging Jewish youth, and they are seeking a JCC City Director to grow Middle School and Teen Programming. The role involves recruiting members, managing local programs, and collaborating with community educators to enhance teen engagement and visibility.

Responsibilities

Recruit and retain BBYO and Teen Connect members, ensuring participation goals are met or exceeded
Promote programs through weekly newsletters, social media, flyers, and registration tools
Serve as the primary communicator with parents, teens, lay leaders, and partners
Coordinate and manage logistics for all local programs; staff regional and international conventions
Guide teens in planning and executing programs that are meaningful, fun, and rooted in Jewish values
Plan and supervise 3–5 monthly programs for BBYO
Recruit, train and supervise adult advisors
Develop and implement monthly Teen Connect (middle school) programming, including annual trip
Partner with Shinshinim and other community educators on programs
Collaborate with JCC staff (e.g., fitness, arts, education, and camp departments) to cross-promote programs and maximize teen interest
Assist with camp logistics by serving on Camp J Leadership team
Develop and implement a CIT curriculum focused on: Leadership development, conflict resolution, teamwork, counselor skills, and Jewish values
Help to recruit, select, and onboard teen athletes (ages 12–16) to participate in the JCC Maccabi Games
Serve as a point of contact for families, athletes, and coaches, providing clear communication and logistical support
Help to coordinate team registration, paperwork, travel arrangements, and payment collection
Attend required delegation head meetings and training sessions (virtual and in-person as needed)
Lead and accompany the delegation to the Games, serving as an on-site representative throughout the event
Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment that encourages team spirit and positive Jewish identity
Establish an annual program calendar for Teen Programs, book spaces accordingly
Responsible for fiscal management of a budget and accountable for all aspects of that budget annually
Purchase materials for programs
Create registrations for all programs, collect registrations and any associated fees
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree
Knowledge, skills and ability to engage youth and families
Experience in developing programming for teens
Strong written/oral communication skills and customer service skills
Ability to use Microsoft office suite and willingness to learn additional programming platforms

Jewish camp experience
