Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines
Build and optimize data models for analytics and reporting use cases
Develop and maintain data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures
Implement data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes
Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across data platforms
Collaborate with analytics, BI, and data science teams to enable data-driven insights
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and resolve data-related issues
Implement CI/CD and automation for data workflows
Maintain documentation and follow data engineering best practices
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or related roles
Strong SQL skills with experience in query optimization
Experience with Python, Scala, or Java for data engineering
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration (Airflow, DBT, SSIS, Informatica, Matillion, etc.)
Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, etc.)
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Strong understanding of data modeling (dimensional, star/snowflake schemas)
Experience with version control and CI/CD tools
Preferred
Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)
Experience with lakehouse platforms (Delta Lake, Iceberg, Hudi)
Experience with DBT and modern analytics engineering practices
Experience with data governance, data quality, and lineage tools
Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments
