Responsibilities
Collecting and preparing samples from various sources for laboratory analyses
Preparing media, buffers, solutions, and reagents required in analysis
Operating and maintaining sampling apparatus and laboratory equipment
Assists laboratory staff with completion of their duties
Receiving, issuing, and maintaining records of laboratory equipment and supplies
Compiling and maintaining laboratory data records
Cleaning, preparing, and sterilizing of facility, materials, and equipment for laboratory work
Basic laboratory testing using hand-held meters
Performing all work in accordance and compliance with laboratory safety practices and procedures
The Chemical Hygiene Plan, and the City of Ann Arbor policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent
Valid driver's license
