Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Product Managers; oversee team operations
Define and own team processes (in concert with other divisional PM leaders), including gated development workflows and cross-functional collaboration throughout the development lifecycle
Maintain and improve team acumen by planning and implementing partnerships, mentoring, and formal training programs
Define roles, responsibilities, and resource needs based on a deep understanding of team functions and business needs
Exercise autonomy in resolving operational challenges and provide guidance on complex situations and assignments
Make decisions on conflicting priorities in consultation with business partners and subject matter experts
Collaborate internally and externally on topics related to organizational goals and processes
Lead projects or initiatives with impact beyond the immediate team
Sponsor a culture of continuous improvement within the team, by advocating for a growth mindset and personal / career development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent) with relevant experience
2+ years of experience formally leading people, projects, or programs
10+ years of experience working on product delivery teams as a product manager, technical product manager, product owner, project manager, or similar role
Experience in at least 2 of the following product areas: consumables, services, hardware, software
Preferred
Working knowledge of an analytical laboratory is a plus
