Law Practice
Responsibilities
Analyze, investigate, and prosecute suspected violations of the Virginia Consumer Protection Act, including provisions regarding the sale of substances containing tetrahydrocannabinol ("THC")
Analyze, investigate, and prosecute violations of other state and federal consumer protection and antitrust laws as needed
Provide legal advice to client agencies
Assist in drafting official opinions
Review proposed legislation
Work with counterparts in other states and federal agencies
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated ability to analyze and manage complex enforcement cases
Well-developed oral and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with state/federal government officials, a diverse workforce, and the general public
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of litigation experience in state and federal courts, concentrating on consumer protection or similar matters
Must be admitted to the Virginia State Bar
