Transit Management Analyst Series
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Transit Management Analyst Series to support the Director of Division Operations. The role involves administrative, budgetary, and hiring coordination functions, including expense tracking, budget requests, and serving as a Hiring Liaison for the division.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will support the Director of Division Operations with administrative, budgetary, and hiring coordination functions
The incumbent’s responsibilities include monitoring and expense tracking; supporting Capital Projects; reviewing TA Labor reports; performing UTS download analysis; monitoring overtime; reviewing work programs; calculating FTEs; and providing hiring review, analysis, and coordination
This role serves as a Hiring Liaison for the division, coordinating and tracking hiring actions including MPQs, JVNs, PRFs, and JetDocs; monitoring hiring pipelines, induction schedules, and split assignments; and ensuring all hiring activity aligns with approved headcount, funding availability, and budget authorization
The incumbent will prepare budget requests; extend reimbursable headcount and funding; process budget entries; and support project review and requests, including Fan Plant, Force Account, and Cost Verification reviews
Additional responsibilities include job number requests, utilization analysis, and ongoing tracking of reimbursable and non-reimbursable labor
The role also serves as a point of coordination between hiring managers, HR, Talent Acquisition, Resource Management, and other stakeholders, and provides ad hoc analysis and division support as required
Qualification
Required
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, or
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods of analysis, operations research, organization research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration
A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in '1' above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in '1' above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry

Proficiency in the use Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Tableau, Power BI applications
Strong writing, research, and interpretation skills
Ability to function independently with limited work direction
