Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions using HYCU
Ensure data protection, availability, and recoverability across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments
Manage backup strategies for virtualized platforms (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V)
Implement DR planning, testing, and recovery procedures
Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and optimize performance
Ensure compliance with security, audit, and retention policies
Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams
Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and SOPs
Participate in on-call support and incident response as needed
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in Backup, Data Protection, or Infrastructure Engineering
Strong hands-on experience with HYCU Backup & Recovery
Experience with VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, or Hyper-Converged Infrastructure
Knowledge of backup concepts: snapshots, replication, retention, RPO/RTO
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) backup strategies
Understanding of disaster recovery planning and execution
Familiarity with security, encryption, and compliance standards
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
