Responsibilities
Reviews and analyzes license agreements (interprets contractual terms; establishes revenue recognition requirements; establishes billing and payment terms)
Enters contracts into Media Maestro (PHE's licensing platform)
Reviews statements sent through the licensee portal and pushes statement to Media Maestro
Performs activities (reconciliations, title issues, etc.) required for processing statements in Media Maestro to ensure the correct recognition of revenue
Tracks minimum guarantees and recoupment status
Invoices minimum guarantees and royalties to customers
Performs detailed analysis and research for reconciliation of accounts
Prepares monthly reporting (AR Aging, Bad Debt, P&L, etc.)
Responds to inquiries from customers and planning/commercial teams
Review receivables for past due balances and work with customers for resolution
Prepare cash application journals
Prepare month end accruals (domestic)
Manages accounting for inventory related to distribution deal
Assists with ad-hoc accounting and reporting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
Experience with financial analysis, US GAAP and IFRS- international accounting principles
Experience in contract review
Preferred
Experience in month end close and reporting preferred
Experience in entertainment industry preferred
