Responsibilities
Edit, format, and standardize technical documents using established templates when available
Create documentation templates as needed
Produce and maintain documentation such as:
Technical designs
Installation instructions
Configuration guides
Runbooks and playbooks
Ensure documents follow consistent grammar, spelling, formatting, and readability standards
Manage document version control within project repositories (e.g., SharePoint and similar tools)
Coordinate with technical team members to obtain clarification, updates, and missing information
Route documents to content owners for review and approval
Publish approved documentation according to project manager guidance
Support a large, fast-moving project with tight timelines
Qualification
Required
Strong experience using technical writing and editing tools such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Information Technology systems to understand technical content and context
Ability to quickly understand draft technical materials and translate them into clear documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with distributed teams
Preferred
Experience working on large government or enterprise IT programs
Familiarity with structured documentation standards and repositories
