Human Resources Supervisor (Benefits Administration) (Promotional Only)
City of St. Louis is seeking a Human Resources Supervisor to assist the Human Resources Manager in managing the Benefits Section. The role involves planning, organizing, and directing work activities to ensure effective benefits administration and compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Follows direction regarding planning, organization, and directing City Employee Benefits operations to establish priorities and ensure alignment with organizational goals
Follows direction in respect of developing and implementing operational plans and performance standards
Follows direction with formulating and justifying departmental budget requests
Assists with monitoring employee payroll status to ensure continuity of coverage
Assists coordinating with operating agency personnel, vendors, and other agencies involved to reconcile problems in coverage. Resolves issues prior to escalation
Monitors team’s transactions for accuracy and communicates updates in benefits to team members
Oversees member benefit calculations
Assists managing specialized programs including but not limited to FML (Family Medical Leave), Substance Testing Program, EAP (Employee Assistance Program), and BeeFit Wellness Program
Prepares the systems and printed forms/marketing for annual changes in benefits and their rates
Leads benefits and wellness projects for active employee groups; retiree groups and COBRA groups
Assists managing the Benefits Section as requested
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; plus four years of professional human resources experience in employee benefits administration
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
