Responsibilities
Core software for a medical imaging instrument, including real‑time data and image acquisition
Hardware-facing components such as custom 10GbE interfaces, RS‑232, and other communication protocols
Instrument calibration tools, logging, and debugging capabilities
Software architecture, design, implementation, and verification activities
Translation of use cases and design inputs into production-ready software
Code that is efficient, reusable, testable, and well-documented
Ongoing collaboration with cross‑functional teams on requirements, interfaces, and risk reviews
Troubleshooting and resolving software issues throughout development
Participating in peer reviews to maintain a high bar for code quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of image processing such as building streaming imaging pipelines or similar high‑throughput systems
Strong C/C++ development experience, including multi‑threaded systems
Experience with network and serial communication technologies
Ability to debug across hardware and software boundaries
Solid grounding in software architecture, design patterns, and object‑oriented principles
Experience using Git and working within Agile development environments
Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and attention to detail
Preferred
Exposure to electrical engineering fundamentals or medical device standards is beneficial but not required
