Responsibilities
Support routine purchasing activities, including processing office-supply orders and assisting with day-to-day requisitions
Learn to write, process, and track Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and understand their role in document control and material updates
Review purchasing data within ERP systems (e.g., pricing, usage, order frequency) to identify opportunities for cost savings or supplier consolidation
Support supplier-related Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs), including gathering evidence, communicating with suppliers, and assisting with investigations
Maintain purchasing files, documentation, and cost-tracking spreadsheets as needed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality, Operations, and Engineering to resolve purchasing-related issues
Participate in at least one defined improvement project (examples below) and present findings at the end of the internship: Supplier Data Cleanup & Standardization, Spend Analysis Project, Process Documentation Improvements
Qualification
Required
Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the internship
Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college
Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program
Interest in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate professionally with internal teams and external suppliers
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Willingness to learn ERP systems (training provided)
Analytical mindset and curiosity to identify process improvements or cost‑saving opportunities
