Responsibilities
Review and process rate lock requests from loan officers in accordance with company and investor guidelines
Validate loan eligibility, pricing accuracy, and applicable adjustments using tools such as Optimal Blue (OB)
Commit loans to investors under Best Efforts delivery terms
Monitor daily lock expirations, market changes, and pricing updates
Process lock extensions, relocks, and necessary corrections while maintaining compliance
Collaborate closely with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure loan data integrity
Support Non-QM loan scenarios by providing guidance on eligible lock structures when required
Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and audit trails for all lock transactions
Ensure adherence to investor, agency, and company parameters at all times
Communicate effectively with loan officers and operations staff regarding lock status, exceptions, or pricing impacts
Qualification
Required
1–2 years of experience working in a mortgage lock desk
Proficiency with Optimal Blue (OB) or similar pricing/lock management platforms
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of mortgage pricing, delivery terms, and investor requirements
Preferred
Experience with Best Efforts (BE) delivery processes
Knowledge of Non-QM products and pricing structures
Experience working in Encompass loan origination system
