As a Product Development Manager – Home Fragrance, you will lead the end-to-end development of innovative home fragrance products, overseeing the product lifecycle from concept feasibility to final production.

Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end product development for home fragrance categories including candles, diffusers, wax melts, room sprays, and coordinating accessories
Translate design and scent concepts into production-ready products by assessing feasibility, materials, construction, fragrance formulas, packaging, and cost targets
Partner with design and fragrance teams to develop packaging, artwork, scent profiles, and specifications aligned with brand and retailer needs
Conduct market and competitive research to guide fragrance, design, pricing, and assortment strategy
Maintain detailed technical specifications covering fragrance formulations, wax types, wicks, containers, dimensions, finishes, packaging, and testing requirements
Collaborate with sourcing, QA, logistics, and production teams to ensure on-time development, high quality standards, and margin goals
Work with global vendors to refine fragrances, molds, containers, labels, and packaging through iterative sampling
Manage development calendars, sample rounds, costing updates, and approvals to meet all deadlines
Troubleshoot production challenges and propose solutions to improve quality, fragrance integrity, and cost efficiency
Present product updates, fragrance samples, and assortment recommendations to internal teams and retail partners
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Product Development, Home Products, Industrial Design, Chemistry, or a related field
5+ years of experience in product development within home fragrance, candles, personal care, or consumer goods
Strong understanding of fragrance formulation, wax types, wicks, containers, and packaging considerations
Ability to translate trends, design, and scent direction into commercially viable products
Experience managing vendor communication, sampling cycles, timelines, and cost negotiations
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style
Preferred
Mandarin speaking is a plus, not required
