Responsibilities
Lead the annual budgeting process and maintain a rolling 18-month forecast at both the platform and firm level
Deliver monthly budget-to-actual reporting with actionable insights by firm, department, and initiative
Build cash flow projections tied to major initiatives, hiring plans, and M&A activity
Maintain an integrated headcount and compensation model across all operating firms
Support structured year-end and mid-year compensation and bonus cycles
Partner with firm leaders to forecast hiring needs and capacity plans tied to revenue targets
Standardize invoice, contract intake, approval workflows, and accounts payable processes across firms
Refine and enforce spend policies; monitor adherence; drive reduction of out-of-policy spend
Implement scalable processes for multi-entity financial controls as the platform grows
Centralize vendor contracts
Manage renewals, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure proper departmental and firm-level cost coding
Align contract spend with operating budgets and strategic priorities
Build a monthly revenue input cadence with firm owners to consolidate into platform-level projections
Partner with operations and client accounting teams to improve forecasting accuracy and visibility
Own receivables and payables between related entities (APS structures, Advisor/CPA PCs, etc.)
Ensure proper settlement, allocation of shared services, commissions, distributions, and reimbursements
Maintain accurate, timely intercompany balances during periods of rapid acquisition and onboarding
Lead the annual close, adjustment processes, working-capital reviews, and audit readiness
Document processes to ensure repeatability and efficiency across all entities
Lead bank transitions, treasury setup, credit card and expense system implementations
Prepare for future system migrations as the platform scales (QBO standardization, ERP evaluation, etc.)
Support integration of newly acquired firms into the finance stack and reporting cadence
Support M&A Due Diligence as needed
Provide coaching and guidance to the finance and operations team
Raise standards for accuracy, clarity, and reporting cadence across all firms
Partner with leadership to build a high-performance finance function
Qualification
Required
8–12 years of progressive experience in controllership, FP&A, or light CFO roles
Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and cash planning
Strong command of internal controls, AP/AR, vendor administration, and intercompany accounting
Prior experience leading bank or system transitions and documenting scalable processes
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint/OneDrive), QuickBooks Online, Brex/Ramp, or similar
Strong communication skills and the ability to hold leadership accountable using data
Comfort working in a fast-paced, growing environment with imperfect and evolving systems
Preferred
Experience supporting or integrating multiple operating entities is highly preferred (CPA firm or professional services experience a plus)
