Responsibilities
Perform metallurgical sectioning, mounting, polishing, and routine evaluations
Evaluations include grain size, coating thickness, machining artefacts, hardness (ASTM E8, E18, E112, E384, E571)
Possess the ability to work alone periodically throughout the work day requiring minimal oversite
Ability to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing required
Able to develop a proven ability to set up and perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications under the supervision and technical input of Senior Engineer or Manager
Experience with tensile, hardness, or other mechanical testing is a plus
Qualification
Required
Must be US Citizen. Position requires security clearance plus clearance of 7 year background check and 10 panel drug screen
Self driven with excellent time management skills
