Responsibilities
Support Senior Technical Designer through all stages of the fit process from development to TOP
Assist in fittings by preparing samples, taking fit notes, and ensuring measurement accuracy
Help maintain tech packs, including measurement specs, BOMs, and construction details
Create and update graded specs under supervision
Coordinate sample tracking and ensure timely follow-up with cross-functional teams
Communicate fit comments and technical information to overseas factories under direction
Collaborate with design, production, and sales teams to align fit, quality, and cost expectations
Help maintain consistency in technical standards across brands and customers
Participate in weekly production meetings and hand-offs as needed
Qualification
Required
1+ years of experience in a technical design or product development role; internships will be considered. Dress experience is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Technical Design, Fashion Design, or related field
Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and specs
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Eagerness to learn and take direction; collaborative team player
Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and PLM systems preferred
