Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with Target+ Category Managers and enterprise merchants to identify assortment gaps and target potential partners to complement the Target assortment
Execute strategies for new partner acquisition, sourcing potential partners through competitive analysis and industry insights
Build relationships with new DTC brands, vendors, and retailers to meet acquisition targets and expand Target+ marketplace offerings
Communicate the value and operational expectations of the Target+ platform to prospective partners, aligning on terms and requirements for successful partnerships
Partner cross-functionally with teams across Merchandising, Operations, Marketing, Site Merchandising, and Retail Media to enhance the Target digital guest experience
Maintain knowledge of marketplace trends and industry shifts to adapt acquisition strategies and identify new business opportunities

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in digital sales, business development, or merchandising
Strong relationship-building and communication skills, able to manage discussions with both internal teams and external partners
Ability to analyze and respond to market data, trends, and guest insights to support sourcing strategies

Preferred

Experience with corporate contracting and knowledge of basic legal, operational, and financial terms
Experience building and managing a wide pipeline of external prospective vendors / business partners
Familiarity with digital marketplaces and an understanding of the DTC landscape
Experience in a project management or operational excellence roles, with a demonstrated ability to manage priorities and execute strategies effectively
