Responsibilities
Partner directly with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document Salesforce requirements
Translate business needs into Salesforce configuration solutions, including:
Objects, fields, page layouts, and record types
Flows, workflow rules, validation rules, and approval processes
Profiles, permission sets, and role hierarchy configuration
Configure Salesforce Financial Services Cloud features to support business processes
Perform impact analysis for requested changes and recommend best-practice configuration approaches
Execute functional testing of configured solutions and support UAT with business users
Support end users by troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and providing guidance on Salesforce usage
Maintain system documentation, configuration standards, and release notes
Support data quality initiatives, including data validation and cleanup efforts
Participate in release planning and deploy configuration changes following established governance and change management processes
Collaborate with technical teams when requirements exceed configuration and require custom development
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience working with Salesforce in a configuration-focused role (Administrator, Business Analyst, or Functional Consultant)
Strong experience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders
Hands-on experience configuring Salesforce without heavy reliance on custom code
Solid understanding of Salesforce security and access controls (profiles, permission sets, sharing)
Demonstrated ability to work directly with end users to provide support, training, and drive adoption in a production Salesforce environment
Strong understanding of Salesforce data model concepts
Experience working in Agile delivery models
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on usability and business outcomes
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience with Service Cloud or supporting an Operations function within a business
Familiarity with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud
