Responsibilities

Conduct training needs assessments and job/task analyses by partnering with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders, including facilitating focus groups and discovery sessions
Design and develop end-to-end training solutions, including: PowerPoint presentations, Job aids and quick reference guides, User guides and documentation, eLearning modules, Virtual and instructor-led training programs
Define training scope, timelines, and deliverables; consult with business partners to recommend appropriate learning solutions
Translate complex technical documentation (functional specs, test scripts, vendor documentation) into clear, engaging training materials for both technical and non-technical audiences
Facilitate and present training sessions, including train-the-trainer programs
Manage multiple training projects simultaneously, ensuring milestones, schedules, and deliverables are met
Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders
Troubleshoot and resolve training-related issues and roadblocks
Perform additional duties as assigned in support of training objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience designing and developing systems and/or technical training materials
Strong experience applying instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE and/or SAM
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficiency with SnagIt
Proficiency with at least one eLearning authoring tool (Articulate Storyline or Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, etc.)
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proven ability to collaborate with SMEs, stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with high attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Self-motivated, organized, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-changing environment

Preferred

Experience working in a utility or regulated industry
Experience using SharePoint for training development or content management
Experience developing training in an Agile software development environment
Background in procedure writing and/or project management
