Quality Engineer
Redbock - an NES Fircroft company is seeking entry level engineers to support Quality Engineering activities. The role involves failure analysis, documentation, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards.
Responsibilities
Receive failed medical devices from the field carefully documenting product receipt
Evaluate failed contaminated devices in a bio-hazard lab
Document result of analysis using technical writing skills
Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment
Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements
May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
0-2 years of experience with Quality Engineering activities, although recent graduates will be considered
Preferred
Any experience with employment in life sciences (medical device, pharma or biotech), GMP compliance, and Root Cause Analysis
Internship or co-op experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and process improvement methodologies
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory compliance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Basic knowledge of quality systems, statistical analysis, and process validation
Effective communication skills for documentation, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration
Attention to detail
Technical knowledge and writing skills
Willingness to ask questions and complete mundane/repetitive tasks
