ASSISTANT DIRECTOR-DEVELOPMENT
The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking an Assistant Director of Development for the Heersink School of Medicine development team. The role involves soliciting and closing mid-level gifts to support the school's general departments while building and maintaining a network of mid-to-high net worth prospects.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain a donor network of mid-to-high net worth prospects and establish a portfolio of individuals, including alumni, with the capacity to make mid-level/major gifts within general medicine areas and other assigned areas
Work closely with the Associate Vice President of Development for the general medicine areas to help build a pipeline of future mid and major donors for assigned units and projects
Execute fundraising strategies to raise mid-level gifts in support of the Heersink School of Medicine
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or a related field
three (3) years of related experience
Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement
After-hours Work And Travel Required
