Responsibilities
Performing functions to design standard, specialized or prototyped products to meet customer or company specifications and requirements
Review sketches, drawings, prints, specifications, estimates, requisitions, proposals and other pertinent project information
Evaluate and disseminate information, layout design involving preparation of multiple dimensional detailed drawings, specifications, and bills of material
Perform required calculations
Investigate and analyze product prototype problems to identify contributing source(s); determine corrective action and implement changes to rectify problems and meet design specifications
Prepare bills of material and product function descriptions
Monitor manufacturing progress, investigate and resolve discrepancies
Qualification
Required
BSME or related degree
4-10 years in an engineering function
Strong SolidWorks skills (3D solid modeling)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (tooling, castings, machining, etc.)
