Academic Technology Coordinator
UCLA's Anderson Computing & Information Services (ACIS) is seeking an Academic Technology Coordinator to oversee technology needs and improve instructional technology services for the Anderson School of Management. The role involves collaborating with faculty and staff to gather requirements, managing projects, and providing support for academic technology to enhance learning experiences.

Responsibilities
Coordinating program technology needs and implementing best practice improvements to instructional technology services and operations
Working directly with Anderson faculty and staff to assist in gathering instructional technology requirements for programs and courses
Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with faculty, program leads, and students
Managing projects through to completion, providing customer service to internal and external customers
Providing academic technology support to about 400 Anderson School faculty and staff and 2000 students in various academic programs
Advocating and supporting the use of technology in support of instruction and learning, including hardware, software, and A/V equipment
Serving as the 2nd tier support to the ACIS Helpdesk, handling inquiries related to academic technology
Supervising student workers and performing hands-on support tasks
Resolving technical problems and monitoring service ticket system and email inboxes
Helping program and operate A/V systems and developing middleware to integrate backend software systems
Providing training and documentation to Anderson and guest users
Assisting with maintaining vendor relationships and support escalations
Setting up, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting A/V equipment, network, computers, and software systems in classrooms and other learning spaces
Providing support for in-class web/video conferences and coordinating instructional recording and live streaming activities
Working outside of normal office hours and/or weekends to support classes when needed
Understanding the standard features and functions of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and ensuring they meet the Anderson School's requirements
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience using a variety of technologies and other resources commonly used in both classrooms and online learning environments
Experience working with faculty, TAs, administrators, and staff with the objective of introducing and encouraging the adoption of new technologies
Experience using and trouble-shooting classroom touch-panel systems
Knowledge and experience with the basics of media and video production
Working knowledge of LMS platforms like Canvas and Moodle, course evaluation system, lecture capture video platform, and other instructional technologies
Experience working with and supervising work done by contractors and other vendors
Familiar with C#, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Skills in prioritizing numerous tasks to complete all work in a timely fashion, with a strong customer service orientation and possess the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relations with faculty, students, Anderson and ACIS staff, as well as vendors and contractors
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills to interact effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, and students in person and in writing
Ability to influence, train and manage people, projects, and programs
Ability to analyze and identify problems, assess alternatives, make logical decisions, and take appropriate actions
Consultative skills to assess user needs in development and technology support
Ability to work individually or as part of a team in a high-performance environment
Knowledge and experience with media and video production
Detailed knowledge of mobile devices and screen casting and connectivity issues
Demonstrated ability to work under time constraints and competing requests for services, and to set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to learn new skills in response to a changing work environment and to expand the knowledge base on issues affecting the work-unit and the organization
Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
Working knowledge of A/V equipment, programming and system integration using tool such as Crestron Fusion, Xio Director
