Independently manage your own caseload from inception to conclusion
Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while meticulously adhering to deadlines
Preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials
Engaging closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies
Conducting comprehensive legal research and writing memoranda to bolster case strategies
Ensuring smooth case management
Qualification
Required
You must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to the Connecticut State Bar or have an adequate UBE score for admission to the jurisdiction
You should have 3 to 8 years of litigation experience preferably in insurance defense or closely related practice area
Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions is vital
Strong capabilities in performing thorough legal research and responding effectively to discovery requests
Strong advocacy skills as you assist in mediations, arbitrations, trials, and hearings
Attention to detail, prioritization skills, and effective communication are key attributes for success in this position
Preferred
Clerkship experience is considered a valuable asset
