Electrical Engineer (Marine Terminal Modernization Project)

Responsibilities

Provide electrical engineering support for terminal infrastructure projects, including power distribution, electrification, and system upgrades
Support design development, technical reviews, and engineering standards for electrical systems
Coordinate closely with EPC firms, contractors, and equipment vendors
Support construction, commissioning, testing, and cutover activities in a live terminal environment
Review drawings, specifications, and technical submittals to ensure compliance with project and safety requirements
Troubleshoot electrical issues during construction and operations, minimizing impact to terminal throughput
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to plan and execute work without disrupting ongoing terminal activities
Ensure adherence to applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and internal engineering guidelines

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Five or more years of electrical engineering experience in infrastructure, industrial, or heavy construction environments
Experience supporting power distribution systems, substations, or large electrical equipment
Exposure to brownfield construction or upgrades in operating facilities
Ability to work effectively with EPCs, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
Role requires regular on site presence at an active industrial facility
Ability to work safely in a port or heavy industrial environment, including navigating construction areas
Must be able to comply with all site safety requirements and protocols
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of any required background checks, drug screening, and compliance with applicable port security and safety requirements

Preferred

Experience in ports, marine terminals, rail, airports, utilities, or heavy industrial environments
Commissioning and cutover experience in live facilities
Familiarity with large electrical systems supporting cranes, yard equipment, or automated or industrial systems
Experience working under strict safety and operational constraints
