Responsibilities
Design, conduct, and manage experiments related to the discovery of novel candidates
Design and conduct PK/PD experiments
Conduct mechanistic studies related to biological targets of interest both independently and in collaboration with other scientists
Create and establish novel and pharmaceutical industry-standard in vivo models of conditions related to NI&I
Manage and analyze experimental data, write internal reports, and be able to present results at scientific conferences, in publications, and at internal meetings
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Biology, Neuroscience, Physiology, Pharmacology, or related discipline required
1-3 years industry experience or equivalent
Expertise in conducting basic in vivo procedures, including drug administration, blood collection, animal handling, and care. Advanced procedures, e.g., survival surgeries, helpful
Experience with data management and presentation, experimental design, and data analysis methods
Ability to work independently and in a matrixed team environment and flexible in adapting to change
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Candidates with experience supervising and/or mentoring direct reports and external contract research organizations will be given additional consideration commensurate with experience
