Lead Radiological Engineer
GE Vernova is focused on providing carbon-free energy solutions and is seeking a Lead Radiological Engineer to join their Dose and Dispersion team. The role involves performing and verifying dose consequence and dispersion analyses, as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards in nuclear safety analysis.

Responsibilities
Perform technical evaluations and provide technical support in areas of source term, decay heat, dose and dispersion analyses, ALARA and other radiological nuclear safety analyses
Effectively communicate and coordinate activities with internal and external project managers, technical personnel, and customers on engineering/technical issues
Maintain a high standard of quality and safety while meeting baseline project schedule and cost objectives
Prepare, document and present technical data to internal and external customers
Contribute to team process improvements to drive speed and simplification
Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC, CNSC, or other regulatory rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards
Qualification
Required
B.S. Degree in engineering, physics, or closely related science discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 8 years of experience in nuclear safety analysis, or closely related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in nuclear radiological analysis
Preferred
M.S. or Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university
Experience with BWR technology and sodium fast reactor technology
Knowledge of plant operational support
Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements
Experience with ORIGEN, RADTRAD, GALE, MCNP, SCALE, MELCOR, MAAP, MACCS
Object-oriented programming experience such as Java, C#, C++
Demonstrated high energy and the ability to energize others
Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity
Work easily and communicate effectively within a team environment
Strong personal commitment and determination
Detail oriented and accountable for results
