Responsibilities

Provide leadership and support to the Trade Package Project Managers and Site Superintendents
Support Project Managers and Contracts Team in the development of trade and equipment procurement documents to ensure all trade contracts, services, and materials to perform specific tasks are secured and available when needed
Coordinate with PMs and Superintendents to review and evaluate proposed change orders against the contract documents and to assess the validity of the proposed cost estimates for the work
Assist in the management of Time and Materials tickets where required on executed change orders and force account work
Support PMs in weekly progress updates with the trade contractors and program schedule team
Coordinate with Project Engineering team to ensure timely processing of submittals and RFIs and accurate maintenance of As-Built drawings for assigned trade packages
Attend routine meetings and track critical issues requiring resolution to maintain construction progress
Drive issues to conclusion through active communications with responsible parties
Responsible for understanding quality requirements of assigned trade packages and coordinating with trade contractors and Program Quality team to ensure that quality activities are planned, executed, and documented according to contract requirements
Responsible for the safe conduct of MWH personnel to ensure a zero accident project
Ensure all site personnel meets minimum safety requirements (e.g. training, orientations, tools and equipment)
Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented
Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies

Required

A Bachelor of Science or higher university degree in engineering, construction management or a related degree. An equivalent combination of experience, skills and training may be substituted
4+ years of experience in project engineering, site superintendent or trade package management specifically in heavy civil, structural or buildings construction
Familiarity with preparing contract scoping documents, reading contract drawings and specifications, and basic construction principles and practices

Preferred

Heavy civil, structural or buildings construction experience of water retaining structures, public water/wastewater infrastructure, or similar industries
On-site construction field experience
