Practice is dedicated to creating a more inclusive and equitable educational system for urban students. As an Elementary Math & Reading Tutor, you will provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects, helping students in Grades K–5 thrive academically while bridging language gaps.

Responsibilities

Provide Math support for students in Grades 3–5 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
Provide ELA support for students in Grades K–2 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to develop engaging, personalized learning strategies
Support urban students in reaching their full potential by providing academic assistance in both English and Math

Required

Passion for Learning: Committed to supporting academic and personal success, especially for underserved and bilingual students
Strong Academics: Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field
Committed and Flexible: Available to work 10-35 hours per week at an assigned school and participate in monthly training
Collaborative Spirit: Ready to work closely with teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors to maximize student success
