King County Auditor’s Office is seeking a Capital Projects Oversight Analyst 1 to enhance accountability and efficiency in capital systems and projects within county government. The role involves analyzing, overseeing, and improving capital programs such as transit facilities and wastewater treatment systems while ensuring equity and performance standards are met.

Responsibilities
Analyzing, overseeing, and improving the accountability, performance, equity, and efficiency of capital systems, programs, and projects in county government through analysis and engagement
Reviewing capital systems-related issues such as providing feedback on systems for identifying and monitoring the County’s highest risk projects, analysis of alternatives, project management, contracting, and staffing
Qualification
Required
bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related technical discipline
minimum of seven years applied experience or significant applied experience in delivery of capital projects in a government environment
Preferred
master's degree
professional engineering license
architecture license
certification in construction management
King County government or other local government experience
equity and social justice principles in capital planning and work
systemic racism and its impact on government programs and capital projects
alternative delivery methods such as General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM), and Progressive Design Build (PBD)
wastewater capital planning, management, and construction
hospital capital planning, campus planning, capital management, and construction
transit capital planning, management, and construction
land acquisition and environmental permitting processes
