Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, responsive frontend experiences using modern frameworks (React, Next.js, TypeScript) for the Multiscale platform UI
Build and optimize backend middleware services, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL endpoints to support platform features, integrations, and orchestration
Architect and implement AppHub infrastructure-a marketplace and runtime environment enabling users to develop, deploy, and manage custom apps, extensions, and integrations (similar to Replit, Vercel Marketplace, or Snowflake Marketplace)
Develop one-click provisioning, app sandboxing, unified billing, authentication, and app lifecycle management for AppHub
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, data scientists, and platform engineers to deliver seamless, production-grade user experiences
Implement best practices for security, performance, scalability, and code quality across the full stack
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design discussions to drive platform innovation
Present solutions, technical architecture, and insights to stakeholders and leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering, SaaS platforms, or developer tools
Hands-on experience with modern frontend technologies (React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Redux or similar state management)
Strong backend development skills with languages like Python, Node.js, Go
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architectures
Proven track record developing extensible platforms, marketplaces, or developer tooling (app stores, plugin systems, integration hubs)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred
Experience building app marketplace infrastructure, extensibility platforms, or developer-facing tooling (e.g., Replit-like environments, Vercel Marketplace, Snowflake Marketplace, VS Code extensions)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), sandboxing, and orchestration for multi-tenant app execution
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright), and DevOps practices
Understanding of billing/subscription integrations, app provisioning workflows, and partner/vendor onboarding
Exposure to data platforms, notebooks (Jupyter), or developer collaboration tools
Passion for developer experience, platform extensibility, and building tools that empower users
